AN ADVENTURE IN FAITH
Founded on November 7, 1938, by Kulapati Dr. K.M. Munshi with the blessings of Mahatma Gandhi, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan stands as an apolitical, cultural, and educational movement rooted in India's timeless heritage.
The Thiruvananthapuram Kendra was established in 1986 under the leadership of late Sri Sooranadu Kunjan Pillai and Secretary S.M. Radhakrishnan Nair. In April 1995, Bhavan's Vivekananda Vidya Mandir began in a rented premise at Kumarapuram with classes I to V, under 100 students, and 9 dedicated teachers.
On June 16, 2003, the school relocated to its permanent 2.89-acre campus at Manvila with 247 students and 24 staff members. Today, the campus features three modern blocks (Bhishma, Vyasa, and Mahatma Gandhi) nurturing students from LKG to XII under CBSE.

The Genesis at Kumarapuram
Bhavan's Vivekananda Vidya Mandir commenced its noble journey in April 1995 at Kumarapuram, Thiruvananthapuram, with Classes I to V under 100 students and 9 dedicated teachers. Built on Kulapati K.M. Munshi's ideals of value-rooted holistic education, the school rapidly gained trust for academic discipline and cultural values.
Expansion to Manvila Campus
On June 16, 2003, the school relocated to its permanent, serene campus at Manvila with 247 students and 24 staff members. Today, the campus encompasses three state-of-the-art academic blocks (Bhishma, Vyasa, and Mahatma Gandhi) nurturing students from LKG through Senior Secondary Level (Science & Commerce).
